China accelerating gas prices?

Wow. I can’t believe how shocking it is to read from MSNBC via the Washington Post that the main cause of rising oil prices is due to CHINA from whom we’ve borrowed endless amounts of money due to war and other bad economic policies. Is it any surprise that China is doing well enough to buy Hamnas? What a great decision to invest heavily in a country that selectively censors the internet!
This story has too many talking points, it almost makes me want to ignore it. I wonder if this will even be picked up by the TV news media in relation to the elections. I mean, what a great way to reinforce Bush’s administration by blaming the rise in oil prices on China. /laugh
Speaking of China, they managed to reduce their smog by 20% in anticipation of the 2008 Olympics, but what an embarrassment! They are still drowning in poor air quality.
I found this account, from the Boston Herald in 2001, expressing surprise China would host the 2008 Olympics. This was in 2001!
